Location: Maker Faire Pittsburgh will be located in the Historic Northside at Buhl Community Park, Nova Place, and the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

ABOUT MAKER FAIRE PITTSBURGH:

Maker Faire is a community-based learning event that inspires everyone to become a maker! The Faire features technology, art, craft, electric vehicles, and other projects created by makers themselves, including student projects, robotics, fashion, 3D printers and CNC mills, textile arts and crafts, home energy monitoring, rockets and R/C toys, sustainability, green tech, radios, vintage computers and game systems, biology/biotech and chemistry projects, puppets, kites, bicycles, unusual tools or machines and more.

In addition to displays and exhibits, Maker Faire Pittsburgh will feature special performances, speakers, demonstrations and workshops featuring 3D printing, laser cutting, microcontrollers, silk screening… and so much more.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone that loves learning, DIY projects, and fun, enthusiastic people! Maker faire’s are fun for families – kids can experiment with hands on activities. They are also a great place for Educators who can come to get ideas for classroom learning and see technology they might want to add to the classroom.
